A. on Android
Open Google (or Google Chrome)
Go to the website you want to make a short cut for (e.g. https://horleybowlingclub.org/)
Click the Menu on the upper right corner like the ‘:’
Select ‘Add to Home Screen’
Click ‘Add’
[or try ‘Shortcut Maker’]
B. on Apple
Search for, and open the ‘Shortcuts’ app on your phone
Click on the ‘+’ icon to create a new shortcut
Click on ‘Add action’
Click on ‘Web’
Scroll down and click on ‘Safari /Open URLs
Click on the blue URL (next to ‘Open’) and enter (or paste) the web address of the website you want to shortcut to e.g. https://horleybowlingclub.org/
at the top of the screen, click on the Down Chevron next to Open URLS’s and click on Rename
Type the name you want the shortcut to have – e.g., HBC Website, click ‘done’ (at the bottom)
Click on ‘Done’ (top right)
Press down and hold on the shortcut just created and click on ‘’Share’
scroll down and click on ‘Add to Home Screen
click on ‘Add’ (top right) – the shortcut icon will now be on your homescrean OR click on the smaller of the two icons and you can then add [or take] a photo which will be what you see on this shortcut. (You can also change the name) – then press Add [top right]
First time clicking on the icon, click on ‘Allow”
