Entries for the singles competition close on Saturday 21st September .
Entries for the pairs and 80 up will close after the meet and greet meeting on the 27th.
Anybody wishing to enter after these dates will go on a reserve list.

SM Meet and Greet
The meet and greet meeting for short Mat bowlers will take place on Friday the 27th of September at 5:30, I will introduce your coaches, match secretary, your Tuesday evening league team captains and the 3 league team captains.
For all short mat bowlers who wish to take advantage of some preseason coaching and tips on marking, our coaches plan to hold a couple of sessions prior to the opening of the season. We would suggest that any new members and those who have played but are still relatively new to short mat to book up for one or both of these sessions.
We are looking to hold them on either the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, either afternoon or evening prior to opening, the day and time will depend on your preference. Please let me know if you wish to participate with your day and time preference.

Important dates for all Short Mat players
The closing date for applications for all internal competitions is Friday 20th of September.
Pre season meeting and singles draw is Friday the 27th of September.
The 2024/25 season will start from Monday the 14th of October. Rink booking system and times to be announced at the meeting.
It is proposed to start the Tuesday evening league on the 15th of October, with so many names down I propose to play a triples league on a Thursday evening. If you have any preference to which evening you prefer then please indicate on the list alongside your name on the notice board.

Application’s for entry into the Tuesday evening league is now open, if you wish to take part ( that includes last seasons entrants) can you please write your name on the list outside the disabled toilet, or message me and I will add your name.
We are also looking for a captain for one of the teams, if this something you would be interested in doing then please message or speak to me.
If to many short mat players apply we may look to run a triples league on either a Wednesday or Thursday evening

(prev) Short Mat Update
With the lawn bowls season now well underway my attention now turns to the upcoming Short Mat Season, and the affiliation of players for both league and cup teams.
To be able to play in any competition or friendlies, players must be affiliated to the WSCSMBA.
With the ever increasing cost of affiliation fees we will only be funding the registration of those players and reserves who wish to take part in any external competitions.
There are some special circumstances that we will take into consideration.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AFFILIATED JUST TO TAKE PART IN INTERNAL COMPETITIONS.
If you were already in one of the teams from last season then along with some of the reserves you will be re-registered unless you wish to withdraw. If you wish to withdraw or to change teams then please speak to me.
The majority of away league matches are no more than 45 minutes from our home base, but the cup away games could be anywhere in West Sussex, with all of these matches taking place at the weekends you must be willing to play and travel on these days.
