Bowling Green
The Bowling Green may be closed at certain times for green maintenance, but at other times the green shall be available for play throughout the season, although the Green Manager (or in his absence another member of the green maintenance team) may decide at certain times that conditions are unsafe, or that damage would be caused to the green if played upon.
Players wishing to use the green in the morning sessions must ensure that it is swept before play. Any session not available for play will be indicated in the online booking system. Should the green have to be closed unexpectedly, a notice giving the reason, and where possible the probable duration of the closure, shall be displayed at the entrance to the clubhouse, and a message may be sent via social media.
Requesting Rinks
When playing in outside competitions, members may request to be allocated a particular rink. Any such requests must be made to either captain prior to the draw for the allocation of the rinks being made. In the event of the rinks being overbooked, the priority given to the allocation of rinks shall be in the order of Club Match, National or County Match, External Competitions, Club Competitions. Club Competitions take precedence over roll-ups.
Rinks for any other external or internal club competition shall be allocated by either captain, whose decision shall be final.
Club Competitions
Rules for club competitions will be laid down by the Selection and Competitions Working Group (SCWG). Any amendments to these rules shall be made to the SCWG prior to the commencement of a playing season.
Current details will be displayed on the notice board or in the fixture card.
The SCWG shall consist of the captains and vice-captains, and those other playing members that they choose to assist them. This working group shall arrange the draw for club competitions and select players for club matches.
Collection of Money
It is the responsibility of the captain to ensure that all monies, including those from the match fees, match raffles, and the proceeds from fund-raising activities, are remitted to the treasurer of the club.
Cleaning and Catering
All full members are required to assist in club catering, cleaning, and bar duties. Details will be given prior to start of each season. The rota will be determined by the captains and vice-captains.
Amendments
Amendment and application of rules: These rules may be amended only at a meeting of the club Committee.
Any proposed amendment to these rules must be received by the Secretary and published on the notice board at least 21 days prior to a meeting. In the event of any questions arising, for which provision is not made in these rules, the matter shall be resolved by the club committee. Any non- compliance with these rules should be referred to the club committee.
