Rink Booking Priorities
In order to clarify the position in regards to booking of rinks the following criteria will apply in order.
Fixture List
ANYTHING on the fixture list (eg League games, County games, friendlies, one day events) – all are pre-booked in the system
Competitions (with the following priorities)
- Nationals
- County
- Other external (eg Marathon pairs)
- Internal
Please only book 1 rink for any competition – preferred rinks to be drawn on the day from all those pre-booked and please do not pre-book (play-on dates) on the preface that you may win and go through to following rounds.
Organised Social Bowling
- Friendship League
- Youth Team
- Weekend Drives
- Friday Club Night/Social
Roll-ups
Do not need to be booked but if booked cannot be booked more than 3 days in advance
Notes:
Please be mindful of the organised social bowling sessions when booking competitions and unless absolutely necessary do not take their pre-booked rinks for competitions.
Do not change a rink booking without speaking to the club member who originally booked it.
Draws for rinks for competitions to be made on the night (using the order above) – so you may not get your ‘pre-booked/preferred’ rink.
For National/County competitions, should all rinks already be booked with County games then the person requiring a rink must arrange for the game to be played earlier or at another club.
All members must appreciate the need to view the rink booking system prior to arranging any home competitive games. Should the occasion arise that club members are asked to legitimately give up a rink it is hoped they will do so in the spirit of the game and for the harmony of the club.
