General Information – Short Mat

Mats

The Indoor Short Mat facility may be closed at certain times for other club activity, and these times will be clearly marked up in the booking diary.

Requesting Mats

When playing in competitions, members may request to be allocated a particular mat. Any such request must be made to the captain prior to the draw for the allocation of the mats being made. In the event of the mats being overbooked, the priority given to the allocation of mats shall be in the order of Club Match, County Match, External Competitions, Club Competitions. Club competitions take precedence over roll-ups.

Mats for any other external or internal club competition shall be allocated by the captain or delegated person such as the team skip, whose decision shall be final.

Club Competitions

Rules for short mat competitions will be set down by the short mat captain in consultation with other short mat players.

Current details will be displayed on the notice board or in the fixture card.

Collection of Money

It is the responsibility of the captain, with other short mat team captains, to ensure that all monies, including those from match fees, match raffles, and the proceeds from fund-raising activities are remitted to the treasurer of the club.

Cleaning and Catering

All short mat playing members are required to assist in club catering and cleaning. Details will be given prior to start of each season.

Amendments

These matters may be amended only at a meeting of the club Committee.

Any proposed amendments to these rules must be received by the Secretary and published on the notice board at least 21 days prior to a meeting. In the event of any questions arising for which provision is not made in these rules, the matter shall be resolved by the club Committee. Any non- compliance with these rules should be referred to the club Committee
